The
Papallacta thermal baths, high in the mountains before descending
to Quito, is the best in South America. Judge for yourself!

Try
eating Trout, cheap and tasty. If you're lucky you'll get
a glipse of the glacier-peaked Antisana while soaking your worries
away.

will take you 8 hours trip to reach Cuenca, we recommend you go
during the day, passing through the Ecuadorian jungle.

Cuenca you can either go back to Quito (Route 4)
or just continue to the south following the routes 7,
8 (leading to Peru's border),
9, 10
or 11.

in Machala you must go to the nice Jambeli beach, 45 minutes from
Machala by boat.

Sit
on the left side of the vehicle, the canyon that takes you to
the lowlands is breath-taking!

one of Ecuador's best-kept secrets; one of the biggest petrified
forest in the world. Take a tent with you. |
Trip
will take 2 hours top and the ride is like going back through
the past.

to go on the old road to Macara passing throught Alamor. |
This
part of Ecuador is rarely visited, and is undoubtedly the best part
of southern Ecuador. |
